ICE DATES for 2026/27 (Prov)

The provisional ice dates for Province competitions are as follows :-

Pairs -         Saturday 24 October 2026 at 3.30pm and 5.45pm

Knockout - First round - Saturday 28 November 2026 at 3.00pm

                      Second round & final - Saturday 9 January 2027 at 3.00pm and 5.45pm

Bonspiel -   Saturday 20 February 2027 at 12.45 pm and 3.30pm

 

 Can clubs confirm to our secretary, Keith Anderson, by 30 June that they will be fielding a team in all of these competitions.

Waldie Griffith in the event we are the "home" :-

Sunday 8 November 2026 at 3.00pm (2 sheets)

Saturday 23 January 2027 at 3.00pm (2 sheets)

NB we have also requested 4 sheets for a weekday pm game although the date has still to be finalised

 

in the event we are "away" the dates will be confirmed by the other Province

 

Borders Challenge (Chanty)

This is due to be held in Kelso, so the dates will be advised.

 

 

Vice President - elect

I am delighted to advise that Andrew McDiarmid has accepted the invitation to become Vice President of East Lothian Province 2025-26 with immediate effect.  Andrew is President of Haddington CC, and has already shown that he has the energy and commitment to develop curling by enthusing others to get involved in our sport.
It is expected Andrew will be formally elected as VP for 2026-27 at our AGM on 5 May 2026.

Andrew looks forward to speaking with other East Lothian players at the upcoming Waldie Griffith Match on 22 February, and our Bonspiel on 15 March.

Knockout Round 1 2025/26

 The first round of the knockout was brought to you with the number 12 !

Two big wins in the first round saw two convincing wins for Athelstaneford  and East Linton with scores of 12 - 4 (against Aberlady) and 12 - 5 against Dirleton.

They now go forward to play Haddington and Yester respectively on Sunday 15th Feb at 14.30 with the final being held the following session.
